My husband and I were visiting in Augusta MO from MD, and this was the only course nearby.
We originally only wanted to use the driving range, which is very nice. You hit off of grass...it is in excellent condition and not at all crowded. Very, very nice range.
Then we decided to play 9. Only $12 each with cart. How can you beat that? The course is really nice---was quite challenging with mature trees and plenty of water. I do not recall any bunkers...but plenty of hazards without them. Fairways and greens were in super condition. I lost more balls than usual...keep it on the fairway or you are toast. Actually need to use some serious course management with a number of doglegs and water layups. You can not be on mental vacation and play this course.
We would definitely go back...it was quite the bargain for a super course. BTW, we did not have any other golfers in front of or behind us the whole way. Talk about golf heaven. If you are traveling West of St. Louis, check it out!!
